A traditional Greek New Year's Day bread or cake which contains a hidden coin, called a flouri. It is typically served at midnight on New Year's Eve or on New Year's Day to celebrate the life of Saint Vassilis , whose feast day is January 1st.

The person who finds the coin in their slice is believed to receive good luck and blessings for the entire year ahead.

Fresh butter, fresh eggs and premium flour are the key ingredients for a well-kneaded, fragrant vassilopita!
