Melomakarona are traditional Greek honey-soaked Christmas cookies made with  flour, orange, and spices, topped with walnuts. These dairy-free and eggless treats are often served during the festive season. They are dipped in syrup while hot to absorb flavor and get their soft, tender texture. 
 
 
Ingredients:
Dough ingredients: Wheat flour, sunflower oil, water, sugar, orange paste (orange peel 35%), water, glucose syrup, modified starch, flavoring, acidulant: citric acid , sodium citrate, preservative : potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, coloring: beta carotene, carmine, stabilizer: agar-agar, xantham gum), cinnamon, baking powder (wheat flour, baking agents: sodium pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate), baking agent : sodium bicarbonate , cloves.
Syrup ingredients: water, sugar, glucose syrup, acidulant: citric acid, preservative: potassium sorbate.
Sprinkling ingredients: walnut
